Two New Trustees Join Women’s Foundation Board

(April 1 — Minneapolis) The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota welcomes two new trustees to its Board. Their three-year terms began with the start of the new fiscal year on April 1, 2025. 

The Women’s Foundation is a statewide community foundation that invests in ending systemic inequities and driving innovation for gender and racial justice. “As leaders in business and longtime partners, the foundation’s new trustees bring knowledge and expertise to advance the mission and strategic goals of the Women’s Foundation. We are thrilled to welcome them to our committed board of trustees,” said Gloria Perez, President & CEO. 

New board officers also begin their term on April 1:  

  • Anita Patel, Vice President of Grantmaking, Bush Foundation – Chair 
  • Rajni Shah, Head of Partnerships, MyMeds – Vice Chair  
  • Henry Jiménez, President and CEO, Propel Nonprofits – Treasurer 
  • Ed Heisler, Strategic Advisor and Special Projects, Men as Peacemakers – Secretary.   

Welcome Our New Trustees

LaToya Jones Burrell, JD, MBA, is General Counsel for Zinpro Corporation and Executive Director of Anderson Foundation. She also serves as Zinpro’s Corporate Secretary, leads Zinpro’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team and Zinpro’s Corporate Giving program, Zinpro’s Rising T.I.D.E.S. for Change.

Prior to joining Zinpro, she was Dean of Graduate Education and Accreditation, taught business law and leadership courses, and she was a peer reviewer with the Higher Learning Commission Accrediting Body. She also coached an award-winning American Mock Trial Association team. Prior to higher education, her practice areas included bankruptcy, multi-district litigation and mass torts.

She is the author of Be Bold: How to Prepare Your Heart and Mind for Racial Reconciliation, inspired and written after George Floyd was murdered a few miles away from her home. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She resides in Eden Prairie with her husband, Greg, and their two boys, Grayson and Garrison.

Jennie Weber is the chief marketing officer for Best Buy Co. Inc. In this role, she oversees the team responsible for creating compelling marketing, driving My Best Buy Memberships™ and Best Buy’s brand strategy, which includes brand and category marketing, planning and creative.

With an innovative approach, her team creates a thoughtful brand experience that accentuates the company’s vision, unlocking the potential in every customer interaction.

Jennie joined Best Buy in 2005 and most recently held the role of senior vice president of customer experience and insights. She has more than 25 years of marketing and design experience, including leadership roles in category marketing, brand marketing and end-to-end customer strategy.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. She serves on the board of directors for the Best Buy Foundation.
